Privacy Policy – Genuinely

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the Genuinely mobile application and related services (the “Service”).

By using Genuinely, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.


1) What Genuinely does

Genuinely helps you determine whether an item appears to be Genuine, Likely Genuine, Likely Counterfeit, or Counterfeit, and provides a fair market value estimate based on photos you upload. We use automated systems, including machine learning/AI, to produce results.

Important: Results are informational estimates and not a guarantee of authenticity or valuation.


2) Information we collect

A) Information you provide

  • Photos you upload (item images only).
  • Account data when you register/login: email address; password (stored as a secure hash); and sign-in identifiers for Google/Apple login.
  • Support communications: messages you send to us and attachments you choose to share.

B) Information collected automatically

We (and our service providers) collect:

  • Device and app info: device model, OS version, app version/build, language, time zone, device identifiers and similar technical data.
  • Usage and diagnostics: feature usage events, interactions, crash reports, performance metrics.
  • Network/log info: IP address, timestamps, and security logs.

C) Subscription and purchase information

If you purchase a subscription (weekly/monthly/annual), the app store/payment processor processes payment. We receive purchase and entitlement metadata (e.g., subscription status, renewal state, product identifiers) needed to provide access. We do not receive your full payment card details from the app store.

D) Advertising information (Rewarded Ads)

If you choose to watch rewarded ads, our advertising partners may collect advertising-related identifiers/signals and measurement data to deliver and report ads, subject to their policies and your device settings.


3) How we use information

We use the information above to:

  1. Provide the Service
  • Process your photos.
  • Generate authenticity category results and fair market value estimates.
  • Maintain your account and subscription entitlements.
  1. Improve, secure, and maintain
  • Debugging, analytics, performance monitoring, and quality assurance.
  • Fraud prevention, abuse detection, and enforcement of policies/terms.
  1. Customer support
  • Respond to your requests and troubleshoot issues.
  1. Comply with law
  • Meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

4) AI processing and automated decisions

  • Your uploaded photos are processed on our servers, and may also be sent to third-party AI services to generate results.
  • We do not use human reviewers to inspect your photos as part of normal operations.
  • We do not use your photos to train our models.
  • Genuinely’s outputs are informational and not intended to produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

5) How we share information

We share information only as needed to run the Service:

A) Service providers (“processors”)

We use vendors to provide infrastructure and features, such as:

  • cloud hosting, storage, and compute services
  • analytics and diagnostics services
  • AI routing/provider access services
  • search/enrichment services
  • rewarded advertising services

These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations and security safeguards.

B) Legal, safety, and business transfers

We may disclose information:

  • to comply with law or valid legal process,
  • to protect rights, safety, and security (fraud, abuse, investigations),
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets (with appropriate protections).

C) No sale of personal information

We do not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws define certain advertising-related disclosures as “sharing”; where applicable, we will honor legally-required opt-outs.


6) Advertising, tracking, and platform disclosures

A) Rewarded ads

Rewarded ads are optional. If you choose to view them, our advertising providers may use identifiers and signals for ad delivery and measurement.

B) Apple “tracking” (ATT)

If we (now or later) use data for “tracking” as Apple defines it, we will request permission via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt when required, and we will keep App Store privacy disclosures accurate.

C) Google Play Data Safety

We will maintain accurate Google Play “Data Safety” disclosures reflecting our data collection, sharing, and security practices.


7) Subscriptions and plan changes

We offer weekly, monthly, and annual subscription plans. We may change, discontinue, or introduce plans and features at our discretion, to the extent permitted by law and platform rules. Material changes will be communicated appropriately.


8) Data retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including security and legal compliance.

  • Photos: retained for up to 1 year (365 days), then deleted; this window may be updated at the company’s discretion.
  • Results and search outputs: retained until you delete them in-app or delete your account, unless limited retention is required for security or legal obligations.
  • Analytics/diagnostics/logs: retained for a limited period appropriate for operations, security, and debugging.
  • Subscription records: retained as required for accounting, audits, and legal compliance.

Retention periods may change at the company’s discretion, subject to applicable law.


9) In-app deletion controls

You can delete your data directly in the app:

  • Delete a scan/item: Delete the item (and its associated photos/results) from your history within the app.
  • Delete your account: Use the account deletion option in the app settings. Account deletion will remove your account profile and associated stored content within a reasonable period, except where limited retention is required for legal compliance, security, or fraud prevention.

10) Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect data (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege access). No system is perfectly secure.


11) Children and age requirements

Genuinely is not directed to children and is intended for users aged 13 and older.

  • If you are under 13, do not use the Service.
  • If you are a parent/guardian and believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact admin@kravalabs.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

(We do not configure rewarded advertising as a child-directed service.)


12) Your privacy rights (global)

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • access your personal data,
  • correct inaccurate data,
  • delete your data,
  • obtain a portable copy (where applicable),
  • object to or restrict certain processing,
  • withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent).

How to exercise rights: email admin@kravalabs.com with subject “Privacy Request – Genuinely.” We may verify your request to protect your account.

EU/UK legal bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)

Where applicable, we process data under:

  • Contract (provide the Service),
  • Legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, improvement),
  • Consent (where required, e.g., certain permissions/ads choices),
  • Legal obligation (compliance and lawful requests).

United States (including California) and other regions

Where applicable, you may have rights to know/access, delete, correct, and opt out of certain “sale/sharing” definitions. We honor applicable requests via admin@kravalabs.com.


13) International transfers

We operate globally. Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required by law (e.g., EU/UK), we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.


14) Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice (e.g., in-app notice) and update the “Last Updated” date.
